I’m hosting a free webinar about how I changed my life
It’s not about what you have—sometimes it's about doing less with what you have.
As I write this from my 900-square-foot flat in London, I look around and realize how different my life is today than just a year ago.
I used to joke that I’d never leave my house in LA, and that I’d be buried under it, like some kind of overpriced tombstone (likely poltergeisting the future owners). I could never have predicted that one day, nearly out of the blue, I’d swap it for a few suitcases, a plane ticket, and a cool new mop that twirls itself into difficult corners.
Now? I’m wandering vintage stores in Notting Hill, working from cozy cafes, and figuring out how to live instead of just own.
The downsize has been liberating. Also? A little terrifying. (But mostly liberating.)
A big impetus for me doing this is that I realized I had choices. I could live a bloated life living in a house with bathrooms I never used, or I could live a manageable life with only what I need.
To do this, I had to rethink my entire relationship with money:
What I spend.
Where I save.
How I invest.
And—most importantly—how to make it all work so I could build a life that moves with me instead of one that keeps me comfortable.
I’ve gotten a lot of questions about why I did this, and even more about how I did it.
That’s why I’m hosting a free webinar with SoFi’s Ambition Club on Monday, May 5th at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET. I’ll share the behind-the-scenes view of how I untangled my life from 10 years living in the safety of home ownership, reworked my finances, and created more freedom for myself.
If you’ve ever dreamed of shaking things up—or just want to make your money work harder to open up a life you didn’t know was possible—you should come hang by joining SoFi’s Ambition Club below.
(P.S. Still hunting for a London therapist—HMU if you have a rec!)
